Odisha Boosts Global Ties with New Visa Center Opening

The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, inaugurated a visa application centre in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant step in the state's global outreach efforts. The new facility, located at the Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bus Terminal, is part of the state government's strategy to enhance citizen services.

During the inauguration, Majhi emphasized that the center reflects Odisha's growing global connectivity and the government's commitment to citizen-centric services. He noted that the initiative would improve travel ease, boost industries and tourism, and strengthen international ties.

The centre, initially offering visa services for 10 countries including the UK and Japan, addresses a long-standing demand by residents who previously had to travel to Kolkata for visa submissions. VFS Global partners in providing these services, expanding the reach of their operations in India.
