The Odisha government has strategically appointed new leadership to its district planning committees by selecting four ministers and 26 MLAs from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. These appointments aim to enhance governance and planning at the district level.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has given his nod to this major reshuffle. Notably, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari will lead the Deogarh district committee, while Prithiviraj Harichandan is set to chair the Gajapati district DPC.
This initiative sees influential figures like Ministers Nityananda Gond and Krushna Chandra Patra taking charge in Rayagada and Sambalpur districts, respectively. Similarly, several MLAs have been delegated crucial roles in various other districts to streamline the development process.
