Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has publicly condemned the recent notice he received from the Crime Investigation Department (CID), labeling it as 'unfortunate'. Reddy asserts that the notice stems from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's personal animosity towards him, ignited by his persistent demands for the fulfillment of the Congress government's 'six guarantees' and election commitments.
Speaking to ANI, the BRS MLA argued that the Chief Minister is wrongfully targeting him through these 'illegal notices'. Highlighting the suspension of BRS members from the Assembly, Reddy emphasized that the move was a direct attack on the entire party. He called for accountability from the Chief Minister himself, citing inappropriate conduct and language.
In a separate incident that has caught public attention, Kaushik Reddy and his wife were recently detained following an altercation at a local temple. Meanwhile, a BRS delegation has escalated the tension, meeting with the Governor of Telangana to demand an inquiry into alleged illegal land and mining activities by Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, presenting substantial evidence of misconduct.
