Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Wednesday criticized the entry of H S Phoolka into the BJP, describing it as 'symbiotic opportunism'.
Warring asserted that this political move would not significantly affect the dynamics of the state beyond merely making headlines. He claimed that the BJP's decision to induct leaders from other parties reflects its desperation to secure electoral success in Punjab.
Emphasizing a strong political stance, Warring pointed out that much of the BJP leadership currently in Punjab consists of former members of different political entities, naming several to support his point. He also refrained from discussing Phoolka's past controversial remarks about the BJP, although he maintained that they remain vivid in public consciousness. Additionally, Warring expressed concerns over damage to the wheat crop due to unseasonal weather and urged for immediate action to support affected farmers.
