In a crucial push for the upcoming assembly elections in Assam, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit the state tomorrow to lead major electoral rallies. This visit follows similar campaigns by party stalwarts like AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.
Gandhi will address public gatherings in Bokajan, Karbi Anglong, and later in Titabor, Jorhat district. Priyanka Gandhi recently delivered a scathing critique of both state and central governments, accusing them of exploiting the electorate for personal gain, urging voters to support a Congress-led administration.
Highlighting the failures of the existing 'double-engine government' under BJP, Priyanka Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's leadership as 'double-slavery'. She encouraged voters to reject what she termed 'the politics of fear' in favor of genuine public welfare targets.
