Punjab is set to establish a state-of-the-art horticulture experience and learning center, mirroring the acclaimed World Horti Center ecosystem in the Netherlands. This move, announced on Monday, was part of the Chief Minister's investment promotion tour in the Netherlands.
The Chief Minister's initiative aims to integrate researchers, academic institutions, industry leaders, and government participants to spark innovation and skill development in sustainable agriculture. The envisioned center seeks to employ the cutting-edge practices of the Netherlands, known for its high-efficiency farming systems.
The visits to WHC and Keukenhof provided a robust understanding of advanced agricultural technologies and practices. Such insights are projected to revamp Punjab's agricultural strategy, emphasizing crop diversification, agri-tourism, and a market-driven approach to elevate the state's economic status.
