The Punjab Police have successfully dismantled a crime module reportedly controlled by foreign-based gangsters with the recent arrest of four suspects. During the operation, authorities recovered two foreign-made .30 caliber pistols and eight live cartridges, according to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.
Those apprehended include Arman Singh, Chirag, Ravinder Singh alias Rahul, and Akshay alias Prince, all residents of Patiala villages. Investigations link Akshay, alias Prince, to the 2025 murder of a business owner in Abohar, where he allegedly provided logistical support to the killers, as stated by the DGP.
Further inquiry is underway to uncover more connections, and additional arrests are anticipated. A special police team, acting on credible intelligence, intercepted the suspects on the Ambala-Chandigarh Highway. Their foreign handlers intended to orchestrate major crimes in the region, as per the SAS Nagar SSP Harmandeep Hans.
