In a decisive operation, the Punjab Police successfully dismantled a narcotics and illegal arms ring in Hoshiarpur on Monday. The arrest of four suspects, along with the recovery of almost 10 kg of heroin and several firearms, marks a significant breakthrough in their ongoing battle against international drug and arms trafficking.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav confirmed that the arrested individuals served as local conduits for foreign-based gangsters. Acting upon reliable intelligence, police teams established checkpoints in the Garhshankar area, intercepting a vehicle that led to the arrests and recovery of the contraband.

The suspects taken into custody include Manjinder Singh, Shivam Bhandari, Sahil Masih, and Ramel Roger. SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik noted that further arrests are anticipated as investigations proceed to uncover and dismantle the entire network of operations.
