In a fervent election rally in Salem, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss voiced his support for AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, promising enhanced welfare for Tamil Nadu's farmers if he becomes Chief Minister post the April 23 assembly elections.
Ramadoss criticized the current administration under Stalin, accusing it of neglecting irrigation and educational infrastructure for the past five years. He pointed to alarming rates of farmer suicides, claiming two occur daily, and highlighted Palaniswami's previous accomplishments, including irrigation projects and establishing numerous medical and educational institutions across the state.
With jocular confidence, Ramadoss emphasized the need for a farmer-led government, vowing that Palaniswami's leadership would prioritize agricultural development and extend productive employment schemes beyond Stalin's proposals.
