David Burke, a 21-year-old musician who gained popularity under the stage name D4vd, faces serious legal troubles as he has been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman confirmed on Monday.
In a shocking development, the remains of Rivas were discovered in the front trunk of a vehicle registered to Burke. The discovery, made in September 2025, came nearly a year-and-a-half after Rivas went missing. The car had been stationed in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood for weeks and subsequently towed, leading to the grim find after workers detected a foul odor.
D4vd rose to fame in 2022 as his music, originally created for Fortnite gaming videos, went viral on TikTok. His hit "Romantic Homicide" caught the attention of Interscope Records, securing him a recording contract. He was set to appear in court for arraignment on Monday afternoon.
