Houston-born alt-pop singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department. He is suspected of involvement in the tragic death of a 14-year-old girl whose decomposed body was discovered in an abandoned Tesla registered under his name.
The vehicle was towed from the Hollywood Hills last year, and police believe it could be linked to Burke, aged 20. He is currently being held without bail, pending further investigation and a review by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
The arrest follows an investigation by an LA County grand jury into the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The case, initially kept under wraps, gained attention after Burke's family contested subpoenas in a Texas court. Representatives for Burke have yet to respond to media inquiries.
