The Tamil Nadu Cyber Crime Wing has nabbed three key suspects in the data theft and online leakage of the film 'Jana Nayagan'. Among the detained is a freelance assistant editor accused of stealing the film reels from an editing studio to share them online.

The arrests, following a technical investigation, were made on April 15. This comes after six others were detained earlier for disseminating pirated content. The police are continuing their investigation and have not released the suspects’ identities.

The film's release, initially set for January 2026, is postponed. The Cyber Crime Wing warned against engaging with pirated content, urging the public to report through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or helpline.
