Lin Yu-ting, Taiwan's first Olympic boxing champion, has advanced in the Asian boxing championships by winning her quarterfinal bout. This marks her first event since passing a genetic test required by World Boxing to confirm her gender.
On Friday, Lin defeated Ayaka Taguchi of Japan with a perfect 5-0, maintaining an impeccable record, just days after beating Thananya Somnuek of Thailand in the lightweight division.
