Delivering an unforgettable performance, India's Aditya dominated on Day 4 of the Asian Boxing Championships 2026 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Competing in the men's 65kg division, Aditya, who secured the title at the 9th Elite Men's National Boxing Championship early this year, triumphed with a 5-0 unanimous decision against Mousa Alhawsaw from Saudi Arabia.
Showing exceptional control and precision, Aditya's win propels him to the next stage of the competition, where he will face Uzbekistan's Abdulloh Madaminov in a much-anticipated match. Earlier, on Day 3, fellow Indian pugilists Vishvanath Suresh and Sachin showcased remarkable skills with their respective victories.
In the men's 50kg category, Vishvanath Suresh secured a 5-0 unanimous decision victory over Bekzat Ergeshov of Kyrgyzstan, demonstrating superb technique and ring presence. His next bout promises to be challenging as he squares off with Kazakhstan's Sanzhar Tashkenbay, the reigning World Champion. In the 60kg category, Sachin won a competitive 4-1 split decision against Mongolia's Buyandalai Bayarkhuu. Such performances underscore the Indian team’s momentum in the fiercely competitive Asian Boxing Championships of 2026.
