In preparation for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on April 23, the Congress party has announced its list of 27 candidates, aiming to secure strategic positions in the state.
Among the notable candidates, Tamil Nadu Congress president K Selvaperunthagai is contesting from the Sriperumbudur SC constituency, while legislative party leader S Rajesh Kumar vies for the seat in Killiyoor. Another prominent name is former MP A Chella Kumar from Krishnagiri.
Operating in coalition with the ruling DMK, the Congress targets 28 out of 234 Assembly seats. The election results will be revealed on May 4, signaling potential shifts in regional political alignments.
