Shriram Mhasane emerged as the leader in the All India Chess Masters FIDE Classical tournament with 6.5 points after triumphing over Arjun Singh in the seventh round on Friday.
On the top board, Rajveer Nahar and Shreyansh Somaiya played to a draw, each garnering 5.5 points. Meanwhile, victories were secured by Deepak Soni against Amogh Bhatavadekar, and Nikhil Shelar who bested Pankaj Borse. Mohsin Yunus Shaikh also clinched a win over Prisha Margaj.
