Union Minister Nitin Gadkari asserted the BJP's commitment to national unity while speaking at an election rally in Palasbari, Assam. He clarified the party's stance on granting voting rights, distinguishing between religious minorities and illegal foreign entrants.
Gadkari highlighted infrastructure achievements under the BJP-led government, promising further progress if the party retains power. He declared that within three years, Assam's road network will rival that of the United States.
The minister emphasized tackling poverty, starvation, and unemployment as priorities, calling for advancements in industrialization, trade, agriculture, and infrastructure. Assam's assembly elections are set for April 9, with results due on May 4.
