In a scathing critique, DMK leader Kanimozhi took aim at the AIADMK for its alliance with the BJP, warning that its leader, Edappadi K Palaniswami, could face a fate similar to that of JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar. Addressing a public meeting in anticipation of the April 23 polls, the Lok Sabha MP described the contest as a clash between Tamil archaeological heritage and the ideology represented by the BJP's RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

Kanimozhi underscored the Tamil heritage as showcased by the Keeladi archaeological findings, claiming that the BJP's reluctance to accept these discoveries points to a larger cultural dissonance. She accused the central government of imposing Hindi over Tamil culture and criticized Palaniswami for not advocating the Keeladi research report to the government.

The DMK leader voiced concerns over the AIADMK's stance, likening its political position to that of other disfavored BJP allies. Kanimozhi expressed confidence in a DMK victory, arguing the party's platform and promises resonate with Tamil Nadu's development needs, while dismissing the AIADMK's claims of copied manifestos.
