The MDMK, aligned with the DMK, has released a manifesto targeting significant regional reforms for the upcoming assembly elections.
The manifesto promises state autonomy, improved welfare for fishermen, and the abolition of the Governor's post, alongside the permanent shutdown of the Sterlite copper plant and the complete abolition of child marriage.
MDMK founder Vaiko highlighted the comprehensive approach taken, involving a dedicated panel that traversed the state for months to gather public recommendations. The MDMK is set to contest in four seats, three with the DMK's 'Rising Sun' symbol, and one under its own.
