C Ve Shanmugam, an MP from AIADMK, sparked controversy on Tuesday by making a comment about actress Nayanthara, targeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's 'Tell us your dream' initiative.
Shanmugam used the actress's name sarcastically during a protest in Villupuram, approximately 150 kilometers from Chennai, against the ruling DMK government.
The former state minister questioned whether Stalin would entertain a dream to marry Nayanthara, leading to criticisms from various societal segments.
