Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has launched an ambitious project to modernize Aizawl, laying the foundation stone for a beautification initiative on land previously occupied by Assam Rifles. Spanning an extensive 17 hectares, the project seeks to revitalize the central core of the state capital.
Emphasizing public utility, Chief Minister Lalduhoma highlighted that the project reflects a collective public vision shaped by an advisory committee involving various stakeholders. He called on the community, including contractors, to support the initiative, urging them to approach the project with patriotism over profit.
With an investment of Rs 23 crore, the state's plan involves road development, creation of public spaces like an 'Aizawl Square,' and construction of facilities such as a power sub-station. The project underscores Aizawl's transformation into a welcoming space for residents of all ages.
