The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has embarked on a significant pilot project to deliver around-the-clock water supply in select areas of Chanakyapuri. This move, announced on Tuesday, includes modern upgrades to the current water system, benefiting 550 households.
The project, with a budget of Rs 1.38 crore, introduces advanced pump sets, automation, and a SCADA system to ensure a consistent flow of clean water. Completion of Phase I is projected within five months, promising more reliable water access for residents in the diplomatic zone, known for frequent supply interruptions.
In tandem, the NDMC has initiated beautification projects at Bhairo Mandir in Nehru Park, aiming to enhance pathways and temple surroundings. This Rs 11 lakh renovation is expected to conclude within a month. Both initiatives reflect NDMC's commitment to improving urban amenities in the capital.
