Bribery Bust: A Revenue Racket Unveiled in Rajasthan

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday exposed a bribery scandal involving a revenue official and a middleman in Rajasthan's Alwar district. The two were arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh to expedite land mutation, officials confirmed.
According to ACB Director General Govind Gupta, Ravi, the middleman, was apprehended while receiving the bribe intended for Basant Kumar Parsoya, the tehsildar of Govindgarh. The complainant reported harassment over a land mutation case, despite compliance with all legal requirements and a court order favoring him.
The complaint verification led to a sting operation where the middleman was caught red-handed accepting the bribe. Subsequently, the tehsildar was detained from his office. The investigation is currently ongoing, as authorities aim to uncover more details of the misconduct.
