Talks highlighted the surge in global oil and gas prices due to Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route handling 20% of the world’s oil and LNG.
This high-level visit marked a significant step in India-EU relations, following the recent Free Trade Agreement firmed up after a summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and EU leaders. Jaishankar emphasized the importance of enhancing defense and industrial collaboration, urging EU ministers to foster synergies with India.
