In a significant anti-drug trafficking operation, officials recovered approximately 2 kg of heroin worth Rs 12 crore. The illegal consignment was reportedly delivered by a Pakistani drone near the International Border.

The Jammu Police, in collaboration with the 101 Battalion BSF, discovered the narcotics in agricultural land in Bahadurpura village in the Bishnah area late Wednesday night.

Following a credible tip-off regarding a suspicious drone activity, the police launched a coordinated search operation. The operation led to the discovery of a bag with a rope and hook, containing several small heroin packets. Authorities have registered a case under the NDPS Act, with investigations ongoing to uncover the network behind this smuggling attempt. The police have called on locals, especially those residing near the border, to aid in combatting illegal drug activities.
