Skye Air Mobility, a key player in drone logistics, has announced a successful $9 million Series B funding round aimed at bolstering its hyperlocal drone delivery operations.
This funding round was divided into Series B1, which raised $4 million, and Series B2, which secured an additional $5 million. The investment was spearheaded by IAN Group's IAN Alpha Fund and included contributions from AVNM Ventures, Faad Capital, Bajaj Capital, among others, according to the company.
With India’s drone industry projected to grow significantly, Skye Air Mobility is planning to expand its operations outside Delhi-NCR, targeting cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. The company also aims to enhance its AI capabilities, integrating autonomous drones, smart airspace management, and AI-driven ground robotics into a cohesive delivery system.
