Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, India has taken significant steps to ensure energy security in the region. The Ministry of External Affairs announced the delivery of 22,000 metric tonnes of high-speed diesel to Bangladesh in March.
Requests for energy supplies have also been received from Seychelles and the Maldives. The Indian government is carefully evaluating these appeals while balancing its own energy needs and refining capacities.
India's commitment extends to reinforcing energy security for Mauritius through a prospective government-to-government agreement. This comes amidst global oil price fluctuations influenced by restricted shipping lanes due to the conflict.
