Andhra Pradesh is emerging as a significant player in India's IT and Global Capability Centre (GCC) sectors, striving to position itself as the gateway to the East. With the announcement of four new greenfield ports on the horizon, the state's seaport tally will increase to ten within a few years.

C M Saikanth Varma, CEO of AP Economic Development Board, highlighted Visakhapatnam's vital role during a recent investment roadshow in Hyderabad. Varma emphasized the state's intent to establish Visakhapatnam as India's next IT, GCC, and AI epicenter, capitalizing on its robust social infrastructure and planned developments, including an international airport and metro system.

Government officials, including IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni and APDTI Chairman Sreedhar Kosaraju, spoke on Visakhapatnam's appeal as an investment destination, underscoring its cost competitiveness, talent pool, and infrastructure readiness.
