Visakhapatnam, often called the 'City of Destiny,' is in the final stages of preparation to host the prestigious International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026 on February 18. The event will converge naval powers from around the globe to demonstrate maritime strength and foster international cooperation, marking a significant milestone for India's naval operations.

This mega event is part of a trio of key international maritime gatherings in Visakhapatnam, which also includes Exercise MILAN 2026 and the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave of Chiefs, scheduled from February 15 to 25, 2026. This marks the first concurrent hosting of these significant events by India, as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's MAHASAGAR vision.

The MAHASAGAR initiative, expanding on the SAGAR policy, underscores a commitment to security, sustainability, and growth across regions. The forthcoming February events will reinforce India's stance as a 'Preferred Security Partner,' with invitations sent worldwide for participation in this historic occasion. The event will underscore India's dedication to open and inclusive seas.
