Andhra Pradesh is making significant strides to establish Visakhapatnam as a leading IT and Global Capability Centre hub in India, according to C M Saikanth Varma, CEO of the AP Economic Development Board.

At a recent Investment Promotion Roadshow, Varma highlighted Visakhapatnam's potential due to its social infrastructure, connectivity, and upcoming international airport. Google’s $15 billion AI data city in Vizag exemplifies the area’s growing importance.

With plans for new ports and a metro, the state aims to market itself as India's eastern gateway, attracting IT and GCC investments while constructing specialized clusters to foster growth.
