Delhi recorded a higher-than-average maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday, marking a 2.8-degree spike above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department. The minimum temperature settled at 18.9 degrees Celsius.
Ahead of potential thunderstorms and rain forecasted for Friday night and Saturday, air quality in the national capital remained moderate. At 7 PM, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 189, as per Central Pollution Control Board data, slightly increasing from 167 in the morning.
The CPCB categorizes the AQI levels, where a score between 101 and 200 is rated as moderate, indicating a need for caution among sensitive groups.
