Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has sharply criticized members of the Aam Aadmi Party who recently resigned to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, labeling them 'gaddars' or traitors. In a press briefing, Mann accused the BJP of attempting to dismantle the AAP, claiming it has 'betrayed the people of Punjab'.

Mann, who recently returned from a diplomatic investment tour in Europe, suggested the BJP's maneuvers stem from their inability to find any fault with him, thus resorting to breaking the party from within. He emphasized that the AAP remains well-supported by the people of Punjab, asserting the party's strength is larger than the defection of 6-7 individuals.

In a dramatic turn, Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak, AAP's Rajya Sabha MPs, announced their decision to join the BJP, explaining that nearly two-thirds of AAP's Rajya Sabha members would form a new faction with the BJP. Among those leaving, notable names include Swati Maliwal and Harbhajan Singh, indicating a significant shift in the political landscape.
