Punjab's political landscape witnessed a dramatic turn of events as several AAP Rajya Sabha members, including notable figures Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak, deserted the party to align with the BJP. This mass defection prompted a fiery response from Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Labeling the defectors as 'traitors,' Mann accused the BJP of attempting to dismantle the AAP's influence in Punjab. Speaking at a press conference, Mann alleged that the BJP, unable to identify any faults within his leadership, resorted to breaking the party instead.
Mann emphasized that such defections would not deter the support AAP enjoys among the populace. He criticized the BJP's historical grudge against Punjab, especially after Prime Minister Modi's retreat on the controversial farm laws. The BJP, Mann asserted, cannot win the people's hearts through trickery.
