On Tuesday, Karnataka Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan dismissed reports suggesting that he is considering a shift to the JD(S), refuting allegations of disloyalty within the Congress party. Khan was addressing rumors circulated about potential discussions with Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
Reports emerged amidst speculations that Khan might face disciplinary action due to allegations against Congress leaders for conspiring against the party's candidate in the Davanagere South bypoll. However, Khan maintains his dedication to the Congress, highlighting the roles and responsibilities bestowed upon him by the party.
In reaction to these allegations, Congress suspended MLC K Abdul Jabbar and relieved Naseer Ahmed from their respective roles. Khan, who joined Congress in 2018, has retained important portfolios, underlining his surprise over the uproar and calls for adherence to due process in party actions.
