In a press conference in Patna, Jharkhand's Rural Development Minister, Deepika Pandey Singh, criticized the Central government for deliberately stalling the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. She stated the law, passed in 2023, remains unnotified, alleging an unconstitutional amendment is proposed for a law not yet implemented.
Singh alleges this delay is a conspiracy to deny women their rights, questioning the addition of census and delimitation conditions in the reservation bill. She claims the BJP's hesitance arises from fears that women from various communities will demand equal rights once the bill is implemented.
Bihar Congress president Rajesh Ram echoed Singh's sentiments, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of creating confusion around the issue and asserting that NDA leaders aim to distract from public concerns.
