In the wake of a tragic bus accident that claimed 21 lives and injured 51 in Udhampur, Union Minister Jitendra Singh paid a visit to the Government Medical College (GMC) to oversee patient care and relief efforts.

Singh, accompanied by local BJP officials and the Deputy Commissioner, inspected intensive care units and held discussions on the treatment being provided to the injured. He assured full support to the victims and announced that a state-of-the-art critical care ambulance will be provided to the area under the MPLAD fund, enhancing emergency response capabilities.

Praising the rapid and coordinated response of the Army and local agencies, Singh highlighted their crucial role in managing the situation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the incident and announced ex-gratia relief for the victims, reinforcing the government's commitment to support in the aftermath of this disaster.
