Tragedy in Udhampur: Bus Crash Claims Lives, Injures Dozens

In the wake of a tragic bus accident in Ramnagar's Khagote area, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo inspected the medical facilities at Government Medical College Udhampur. The chief official described the incident as a 'deeply unfortunate mishap' while addressing the press about ongoing relief operations.
Dulloo revealed that of the 51 injured, 44 are receiving treatment at GMC Udhampur, six at the Sub-District Hospital in Ramnagar, and two in critical condition have been shifted to GMC Jammu for specialized care. He assured that the administration is working tirelessly to provide optimal assistance to the victims and their families.
Authorities confirmed that 15 individuals lost their lives, and many sustained injuries when the bus enroute from Ramnagar to Udhampur crashed. Rescue operations are underway, with senior officials present at the site. Financial relief efforts have been announced by both the Central and Union Territory governments to aid affected families.
