A Mumbai television actor, Vipul Roy, has alleged theft against his maid, Dipali Kharwa, accusing her of stealing foreign currency and jewelry worth over Rs 7 lakh from his residence. The incident reportedly occurred when Roy was about to travel overseas.
In his complaint lodged after returning from abroad, Roy detailed the theft of 30 notes of 100 USD, 7,000 Dirham, 14,500 Thai Baht, a silver bracelet valued at Rs 85,000, and gold diamond rings worth Rs 1.25 lakh.
The police are actively seeking information about Kharwa, who had been hired through an online platform and had previously worked at Roy's house. The investigation is ongoing as authorities gather more details.
