Tel Aviv, Israel, April 21 (ANI/TPS): As Israel commemorates its fallen soldiers, an unprecedented initiative has been launched, extending a youth leadership program to the country's northern Druze communities. Spearheaded by HaShomer HaHadash, a group committed to bolstering Israeli agriculture and security, this effort seeks to merge remembrance with growth and renewal.

Druze high schoolers in grades 10-12 are at the heart of this initiative, gathering weekly to delve into leadership, local heritage, and shared values, says program founder Eitan Ben Zvi. Ben Zvi emphasized, "The partnership with the Druze community strengthens the Zionist vision, preparing future leaders for significant roles, such as heads of national security and political positions."

With 100 participants from across Israel, including 30 from the Druze villages of Majdal Shams and Julis, the program not only focuses on leadership but also on bridging cultural divides. Omri Tarif, a local Druze guide, stresses the program's role in fostering mutual understanding and collaboration between Druze and Jewish youths through seminars, workshops, and cross-cultural activities.
