Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday engaged in in-depth discussions with senior JMM leaders concerning the forthcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and Census activities, urging empowerment of the party structure from grassroots to district levels.
During the meeting held at his residence and attended by party members from 12 districts, Soren emphasized the dual importance of organizational strength and effective governance. He used social media to share insights from the meeting, highlighting the need for party workers to stay actively engaged with the public and to effectively disseminate government initiatives.
In discussions about the proposed Census, party leaders underscored its critical role in social and political representation, advocating for an accurate count of tribal, indigenous, and marginalized communities in Jharkhand. Concerns were also raised regarding the BJP potentially exploiting the SIR process for political gains, with assurances from JMM leaders that such efforts would be vigilantly countered to uphold democratic rights.
