Jharkhand's Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, has voiced significant concerns regarding the prevalence of child malnutrition in the state, calling it a 'curse on society.' Speaking to newly appointed Child Development Project Officers and women supervisors, Chief Minister Soren described malnutrition as a pervasive issue that could pose lifelong challenges if not urgently addressed.
According to the Chief Minister, a substantial proportion of Jharkhand's children remain afflicted by malnutrition, signaling an immediate need for eradication measures. During the event, Soren distributed appointment letters to 62 CDPOs and 337 women supervisors, underscoring the government's intent to combat this health crisis.
Soren highlighted various programs implemented to enhance growth and development, emphasizing that governmental schemes must reach the most disadvantaged communities. He stressed that building a healthy and prosperous society demands collective efforts from all sectors and is not achievable by individual endeavors alone.
