Authorities clarified that the device was merely a large firecracker, not a bomb, which struck a nearby flexboard, causing damage but leaving the house and its residents unharmed.
Despite the tense situation, the Payyanur police station confirmed that they have not received any formal complaints nor registered any case concerning the incident.
