Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday launched a stinging critique of the BJP government, accusing it of blaming domestic challenges on international conflicts, notably the Iran-Israel war. Yadav was addressing a press conference about industrial hardships in Kanpur.
Yadav contended that the BJP is masking its policy failures by attributing issues like fertiliser shortages to the West Asia conflict. He accused the government of diverting attention from real problems, including farmer struggles and unfulfilled promises like cleaning the Ganga.
The political leader also reiterated his party's stance against electronic voting machines, advocating a return to ballot voting to ensure fairness, especially for poorer citizens. On student politics, Yadav pledged to foster international exchanges if his party gains power in Uttar Pradesh.
