The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) staged a protest on Friday, demanding action against the desecration of a statue of B R Ambedkar in Noorpur Jattan village.
BSP's Punjab president, Avtar Singh Karimpuri, criticized the police for not making any arrests despite a 72-hour ultimatum and accused the state administration of neglecting its duties.
The party has announced plans for a series of protests across Punjab, with key demonstrations scheduled for April. BSP MLA Nachhattar Pal vowed to address the issue in the Punjab Assembly.
