Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav issued a stern warning on Friday about the threats to India's Constitution, critiquing the current government's effect on weakening public institutions. Yadav announced a grassroots awareness campaign, emphasizing the importance of celebrating B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary to highlight the crisis facing the Constitution.
Addressing a press conference, Yadav expressed concerns about the government not adhering to democratic principles, accusing it of fostering a system that favors arbitrary rule. Highlighting the BJP's approach towards privatization and alleged corruption, he claimed these steps have contributed to rising prices and unemployment.
Yadav called for unity among backward classes, Dalits, and minorities, emphasizing the need to challenge the BJP in the 2027 state assembly elections. Criticizing the state government's neglect of education and health sectors, he urged party workers to strengthen socialist ideologies and ensure democratic freedom upon gaining power.
