Rajendra Arlekar Takes Oath as Tamil Nadu's 27th Governor
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was sworn in as the 27th Governor of Tamil Nadu, succeeding R.N. Ravi. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Chief Minister Stalin and other officials. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was formally sworn in as the 27th Governor of Tamil Nadu, succeeding R.N. Ravi on Thursday at Lok Bhavan. The ceremony was attended by Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M K Stalin and Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, among other prominent officials.
Arlekar, who also serves as the current Governor of Kerala, was greeted warmly by state dignitaries and was administered the oath by Justice Dharmadhikari. Chief Secretary N Muruganandam read out the Warrant of Appointment, and a ceremonial guard of honor was presented by the Tamil Nadu police.
Among those in attendance were the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker, state and union ministers, BJP leaders, and heads of armed forces establishments. Arlekar, a seasoned political figure from Goa, brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as a governor in Himachal Pradesh and Bihar.
