Outgoing Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi has departed for Kolkata to assume his new role as the Governor of West Bengal. His tenure in Tamil Nadu, spanning over four years, was marked by numerous confrontations with the elected government.

Appointed as the 26th Governor in September 2021, Ravi held firm views during his term, particularly on issues like the National Education Policy, which led to several conflicts with the DMK regime.
