The political atmosphere in Kerala heated up on Tuesday as allegations of a 'land scam' against state BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar were leveled by both the ruling CPI(M) and the opposition Congress.
Accusations claim Chandrasekhar was involved in profiteering from land intended for industrial development in Karnataka. In response, the Congress organized a protest march in Palakkad, demanding his resignation and arrest, while effigies were burnt and slogans chanted.
Chandrasekhar categorically denies the claims, branding them as attempts to divert attention from his own allegations of corruption against Congress and CPI(M). Amidst this tension, Chandrasekhar has vowed to pursue legal action against those propagating the 'lies.'
