Security concerns flared in Coimbatore following a breach during Vice President C P Radhakrishnan's visit to the city. Two individuals violated the secured zone, resulting in their detention by quick-acting police officers.
Authorities reported that the duo had managed to navigate a two-wheeler through a barricaded section of Big Bazaar street, an act that incited a rapid police response and subsequent capture.
BJP Mahila Morcha president Vanathi Srinivasan, also the Coimbatore South legislator, expressed grave concerns over the security lapse. She pressed for an immediate inquiry to determine fault in VIP security arrangements, suggesting corrective actions against responsible personnel if necessary. Srinivasan also urged for enhanced security protocols to prevent future occurrences.
