The Himachal Pradesh government is probing alleged irregularities in the Himcare scheme, as announced by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday. The inquiry targets claims made under the previous BJP government, including questionable 'ovarian surgeries on men' and the use of expired medical implants.
During a recent public address, CM Sukhu accused the previous administration of financial mismanagement, despite receiving substantial funds. He noted a significant decline in educational quality during the BJP’s tenure and hailed the Congress government's achievements, including English-medium education and new CBSE affiliations, which have elevated the state’s educational standings.
Sukhu further announced various developmental projects, including financial aid for local organizations, infrastructural investments in Kangra district, and social welfare programs aimed at assisting the poorest families. The announcement also included details about ongoing initiatives like the Apna Parivar-Sukhi Parivar Yojana.
